Industries we work in

Applications

Every dust is different. Here is how we approach the industries we work in most.

Shot blasting and blast rooms

Wheelabrators and blast rooms produce heavy, abrasive dust. Good extraction keeps the abrasive mix clean, which keeps blast efficiency up, and keeps the blast room visible. We often fit a cyclone or settling chamber ahead of the bags to take out abrasive fines.

Foundry, furnace and forging

Melting, pouring, fettling and sand reclamation create hot, fine, abrasive fume. We use high-temperature media, spark arrestors and cooling where the gas is too hot for the bags.

Welding, cutting and fabrication

Welding fume and cutting smoke are very fine and harmful to breathe. Cartridge collectors with source capture, downdraft tables or cell hoods handle them best.

Mining and mineral processing

Crushers, screens, conveyor transfer points and bagging plants need robust baghouses built for abrasive dust, outdoor installation and continuous duty.

Food, feed and powder handling

Flour, sugar, soya, maize and other powders. We build in stainless steel where needed and design for combustible dust. Recovered product can often go back into the process.

Boilers and kilns

Coal-fired and biomass boilers and kilns need hot-gas media such as PPS or aramid, plus spark protection.

Woodworking and furniture

Saws, planers, sanders and CNC routers produce chips and fine dust. A cyclone and baghouse combination with anti-static bags suits most shops.

Grinding and polishing

Grinding tables and polishing lines throw sparks and metal fines. Spark arrestors and the right media protect the collector.

Recycling and waste

Shredding, sorting and material transport lines. We combine dust extraction with pneumatic conveying where material needs moving too.

Pharmaceutical and chemical

Fine, sometimes valuable powders. Cartridge or membrane bag filters capture the fines, and stainless construction keeps the product clean.
